KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Plant Coordinator provides information and assigns tasks as appropriate for the shift.

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Plant Coordinator serves as a key link between the plant operation areas, the maintenance group, and plant management to ensure the most appropriate resources are engaged in problem resolution and the operation areas are meeting safety, quality, training, and production goals.

Level 2 - Important Role:
Drive EHSQ excellence culture and improvements in area of responsibility EHSQMS Element owner support Focus on EHSQ systems, policies, procedures, and their effects on day-to-day operations.
Audit and review EHSQ effectiveness in area All employees are responsible for:
Compliance with procedures that implement the requirements of the EHSQ policies and procedures.
Being responsible for their own actions Carrying out their work in a manner which does not present a risk to themselves, others, and the environment.
Reporting all incidents, defects, hazards, and inadequacies of procedures so that appropriate review and corrective action can be taken.
Suggesting improvements and being active in the general improvement of all systems and methods of work to ensure EHSQ supports activities and services are carried out in a safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and cost-effective manner.

MAIN
Responsibilities:
Ensures the team operates and communicates in a safe manner.
Assign daily tasks to team members.
Ensure adequate shift staffing is available for all shifts Communicates effectively with members of management and all team members.
Ability to write and train on the various safety permit systems.
Operate and train employees on training matrix and skill blocks to achieve next progression level.
Maintain boiler operator and waste treatment licenses annually.
Operate and train employees on various operations equipment.
Oversee and coordinate with the team members on daily activities and ensure job tasks are completed.
Participate in management meetings to discuss matrix improvements.
Assist team in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions/problems.
Cover for other Plant Coordinator's while they are on vacation.
Provide management with daily shift reports.
Perform established plant coordinator signoffs and verifications.
Perform periodic inventory reviews for various areas.
Attend required meetings with management.
Demonstrate and uphold all T&L standards and values across all operations Obtain all 5 production skill blocks.
Support team members in daily task, functions, provide adequate resources and guidance.

FOOD, ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY DUTY OF CARE:
Food Safety:
Carry out responsibilities/duties according to food safety, legal and quality requirements to ensure that our products are fit for human consumption.
Environment:
Comply with all environmental standards, procedures, and work instructions always.
Report any environmental violation or near misses to prevent any impact upon the local environment, its inhabitants and Tate & Lyle Health & Safety:
Adhere to the safety policies, procedures, and site rules.
Fully participate in the safety program, including reporting any incidents or near misses and auditing 8.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
The incumbent will be measured against site EHS, quality, production, reliability, and leadership goals.
9.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be free from any performance improvement plans.
Must be fully qualified in all process areas within the plant.
